1940 Chris-Craft Barrelback Double Cockpit

This 1940 Chris-Craft Barrelback is a 17-foot wooden runabout with a single 100-horsepower gasoline engine. The boat features the signature double cockpit design with a cut water that remains in sound condition. Chrome hardware throughout and original blue gauges on the dash are hallmarks of the era.

The upholstery is in good order, and the boat retains its pre-World War II Chris-Craft stencils on both sides. The four chromed step pads with black rubber treads are also period-original. The wooden hull has been maintained in fresh water throughout its life, with the bottom in solid condition.
