1947 Rhodes Nevins Picnic Boat

This 1947 Rhodes-Nevins motor launch is a double-planked mahogany classic with teak decks and original hardware throughout. Powered by twin 250-horsepower Cummins diesel engines installed in 1994, she cruises at twelve knots and reaches twenty-one knots at full throttle. Updated mechanical systems include ZF transmissions, Hynautic hydraulic steering, and a 120-gallon center fuel tank with two 50-gallon wing tanks.

The open cockpit spans the beam and features a hardtop forward with port and starboard settees, the helm to port, and an aft bench seat. A center-line door descends into the cabin, where the galley to starboard holds a classic Chamberlain coal stove, stainless steel sink, and electric refrigeration. The head to port contains a VaccuFlush toilet and hand-held shower. Forward are two settee berths with fold-down upper berths above and a traditional Nevins drop-leaf table between them.

Electrical systems include twelve-volt DC and 110-volt AC power supplied by a Northern Lights generator, with three batteries total and a Newmar panel. Navigation and communication equipment comprises Furuno radar, NAVnet C Map chart plotter, and autopilot, along with a Uniden VHF radio. Entertainment features a Pioneer stereo with Bose speakers throughout.
