The 1949 Rybovich Sport Fish is hull #2, the oldest existing example of this classic design. At 37 feet with an 11-foot beam, she combines the brand's proven offshore capability with solid construction in fiberglass. Twin Cummins diesel engines deliver 630 horsepower, pushing the boat to a top speed of 29 knots with a cruising speed of 24 knots.
A major restoration was undertaken in 1989 and 1990 by Emil and Michael Rybovich, during which the hull exterior was sheathed in fiberglass and resin. The engines were replaced in 2016. The boat has been maintained by Michael Rybovich & Sons Boatworks since 2009 and has been primarily used during winter months, with indoor storage during the storm season.
