1953 Rare Beister Super 1500

This 1953 Beister Super 1500 is a 48.75-foot steel-hulled sailing yacht built for performance and comfort. The sloop rig carries two electric genoas, a fully battened mainsail, and a spinnaker pole, with electric furling and winch systems throughout for easy handling by a crew of two. The steel hull plating, measuring 4.8–6 mm thick, was renewed approximately one year ago. A single 73.76 hp BMW diesel engine provides auxiliary power, cruising at 5 knots at 1700 rpm with fuel consumption of 4 liters per hour.

Below deck, the accommodation includes an owner's cabin, saloon with deck saloon, and two aft cabins finished with leather upholstery. The galley features a two-burner gas stove with oven, electric refrigerator, and freezer. A manual WC, washbasin, and shower serve the bathroom. Climate control throughout comes from air conditioning and heating systems. Water capacity is 800 liters, with a 900-liter diesel fuel tank and 150-liter grey water tank.

Navigation and deck systems are comprehensive: GPS, 15-inch chart plotter, radar, echo sounder with repeater, speed log, wind instruments, and autopilot with remote control. Power systems include a powerful 100 Ah generator, dual voltage supply (12 and 24V), solar panels, a 3 kW sine wave inverter, and shore power connection. Deck features include a sprayhood, cockpit cover, winter cover, sun awning, hot and cold deck shower, stainless steel guardrails, and swimming ladder. Anchoring gear consists of a 60 kg stainless steel anchor with 60 meters of stainless steel chain and electric windlass with remote operation.

This yacht has been used for family cruising and performs exceptionally well under sail. Additional equipment includes a life raft, searchlight, bow thruster, feathering propeller, and manual and electric bilge pumps.
