Built in 1960 by Frans Maas-LeFevre Holland as a one-off custom design, this 47-foot steel sailing yacht combines robust construction with seagoing capability. The steel hull and deck are built to shoulder heavy weather without loss of control in steep seas or following conditions. The yacht tracks well and handles readily under sail, manageable by one or two crew on extended passages.
The yacht underwent extensive restoration between 1992 and 1997, with the hull, deck, and exterior stripped, sandblasted, primed, and repainted both inside and out. During this period, the electrical and plumbing systems were completely replaced. Stainless steel fittings were welded throughout the deck, and stainless steel plating reinforced the toe-rail. The standing and running rigging was replaced in 2003. A Yanmar diesel engine of 52 horsepower was installed in 1999, with the transmission rebuilt in 2008.
The yacht accommodates three cabins and one head. Interior appointments include custom detailing throughout. The boat comes with spare parts on hand and is mechanically and structurally ready for extended cruising.
