1960 Prowler Semi-enclosed

This 30-foot Prowler, built in 1960, is a classic wooden cruiser with a varnished mahogany carvel-planked hull and teak decking. The boat features a semi-enclosed cabin with opening hatches and portlights, mahogany and plywood superstructure, and consistent paint and varnish work throughout.

Power comes from twin Mercruiser 5.7-liter engines rated at 300 horsepower each, installed in 1996. The boat rides on twin 13 by 12.5-inch bronze propellers driven through Borg Warner Velvet Drive transmissions and one-inch stainless steel shafts. A bronze spade rudder handles steering via a mechanical system, while Bennett trim tabs assist with trim and running angle.

The fuel system includes a single 200-gallon aluminum tank with primary and secondary fuel filters. Fresh water is supplied by a single tank with a 12-volt pump. Two electric Rule 1500 GPH bilge pumps with float switches manage water removal. A Jabsco marine head provides head facilities.

Navigation and communication equipment includes a Garmin GPS Map 4208 chartplotter with radar, a Garmin 400C fish finder and depth sounder, a West Marine 580 VHF radio, and a Faria engine synchronizer. Additional gear comprises a Pro Mariner Pro Tournament 150 triple battery charger, a Fortress FX-11 anchor with rode, spare propellers, air horns, and a gas fume detector.
