1961 Andrews Slipper Launch

A 1961 Andrews Slipper Launch, hull number 451, built by J. Andrews & Son in Bourne End, England. This was the final of just seven 25-foot launches produced that year, making it a rare example from the builder. The boat is powered by a 50 horsepower Austin Vedette 4-cylinder engine, with a cruising speed of 12 knots and maximum speed of 18 knots.

The boat received a full professional restoration in 2003, which included a new Iroko bottom, chine repairs, new hull sides, and updated hatch framing. The deck was refinished with alternating African and Brazilian mahogany. A complete rebuild of the original Austin Vedette engine was completed in 2017. The cockpit features four Lloyd Loom wicker chairs, recessed lighting, updated wiring, and high-gloss varnish throughout. Traditional gold-leaf lettering and cove lines finish the exterior details.

Since arriving in Canada in 2003, the boat has been kept in a covered boathouse in Muskoka and stored on a lift out of the water. It comes with a custom-built trailer.
