The 1963 Chris-Craft 42 Constellation is a wooden-hulled cruiser built during an era when Chris-Craft was known for quality offshore motor yachts. This example retains many original fixtures and fittings throughout, with their vintage character preserved while internal systems have been renewed to working order.
The layout provides two cabins and two heads. The galley is equipped with a Princess electric range, GE microwave, and custom cold-plate refrigeration and freezer. A Vacuflush toilet serves the head compartment. An intercom system connects the living spaces.
Navigation and communication systems include Racal Decca 130 radar, Furuno LC-90 GPS, Furuno FCV-662 color sounder, Lorad Night Hawk depth sounder, and a Tide Finder computer. Two VHF radios—an Icom IC-M100 and Unimetrics Sea Hawk 24—provide communication options. A Danforth compass and W-H autopilot with handheld remote round out the piloting suite. A spotlight is mounted on deck.
Power comes from two Chrysler Crusader 454 V-8 engines with freshwater cooling. A 2022 Westerbeke 7.5kW generator provides auxiliary power. Trim tabs assist with boat handling. An AM-FM stereo provides entertainment.
