1963 Monk Custom Cruiser

This 36-foot Monk Custom Cruiser from 1963 is a wooden hull classic built for comfortable cruising. Powered by a GM 6V53 diesel engine producing 135 horsepower, she reaches a top speed of 12 knots and is designed for steady, efficient passage-making.

The interior features a traditional wood finish throughout, with a private aft master cabin accessible from the swim grid and a forward cabin in the bow. The main salon includes convertible seating for additional guests. The galley is equipped with a propane oven, three-burner cooktop, sink, and refrigerator for extended cruising.

Systems and equipment include a Garmin GPSMAP 8610xsv chart plotter, VHF radio, compass, electric windlass, two electric bilge pumps, and full engine instrumentation. The aluminum fuel and water tanks were replaced 12 years ago. Bottom paint was applied in mid-2024. The hull was surveyed in July 2024 and is in very good condition.

An inflatable tender is included: a 2009 Zodiac 10-foot dinghy with a 2020 Suzuki 6-horsepower outboard motor.
