1964 Bertram MOPPIE

This 1964 Bertram center console is a 20-foot fiberglass boat that has undergone extensive structural restoration. The original hull was rebuilt with new bulkheads and stringers, reinforced with heavy fiberglass layup work designed to handle offshore conditions. Power comes from a single 300 hp Mercury Verado outboard in a pod mounting arrangement, replacing the original inboard setup. A substantial aluminum fuel tank was installed to support extended cruising. The boat reaches speeds around 50 mph and cruises at 30 mph, combining the outboard's responsiveness with the ride characteristics of the Bertram hull design.

A custom aluminum center console houses all electrical systems and controls for the Mercury engine and Garmin navigation equipment. The boat includes a trailer, though the trailer is older and requires repair work.
