1964 Concordia 41 Yawl

This 1964 Concordia 41 Yawl is a refined evolution of the storied 39-foot design, scaled up and optimized for both racing and cruising. The 41-footer gained increased speed, stability, and interior volume over its predecessor, and this example—hull number 98—reflects decades of thoughtful maintenance and structural upgrades. The wood hull measures 41 feet in length with a 10.25-foot beam and is powered by a 40-horsepower Westerbeke diesel installed in 1996.

The boat features a masthead rig with roller-furling genoa and no running backstays, making her simpler to handle than earlier fractional-rig Concordias. A full-width dodger protects the cockpit, and below deck she offers a custom chart table, wood stove in the galley for heating and cooking, and one head with an ABYC-compliant holding tank installed in 2005. The main cabin has been fitted with new cushion covers.

Structural work undertaken over the years includes replacement of the mast step and chainplate tie-rods, keel timber and bolts, and floor timbers. In 1993, the frames, floor timbers, and mast step composite were replaced. The 1996 refit added new Dynel decks, cockpit comings, toe rails, and keel bolts. A 2005 survey prompted replacement of the keel, bolts, floor timbers where needed, and numerous planks. The sails include a genoa with roller furling, a full-batten mizzen, and an asymmetric spinnaker in nearly new condition.
