This 1964 custom-built Thames launch was constructed by Tough Brothers Limited in Teddington for the Metropolitan Police Thames Division. The fiberglass hull measures nearly 30 feet in length with a beam of approximately 9 feet, providing a stable platform designed for working waters. A single Perkins diesel engine with shaft drive powers the boat, offering reliable operation suited to both professional work and recreational cruising.
The layout centers on a large aft cockpit with covered seating area and helm station forward. A small forward cuddy provides shelter, while teak decks remain in good condition throughout. The boat is equipped with Webasto warm air heating, a manually operated searchlight, multi-speed depth sounder, bilge pump, navigation lights, horn, and cockpit cover. Additional features include an adjustable helm seat, horseshoe lift ring, 12-volt socket, and a selection of ropes and fenders with seat cushions.
The hull was surveyed in 2021 with recommendations addressed. The boat's traditional Thames launch design handles well and remains popular for both work applications and pleasure cruising.
