1965 Bertram Sport Fisherman

This 1965 Bertram 31 Sport Fisherman is a fiberglass-hulled classic that has undergone extensive modernization in recent years. The boat is powered by twin Mercruiser 454 engines with less than 400 hours since installation, paired with rebuilt transmissions and fresh mechanical systems including new hoses, belts, starters, alternators, oil pans, and seals. Fuel capacity totals 282 gallons across a center tank and two saddle tanks, all replaced in 2018.

The single cabin accommodates a V-berth and includes a dinette with bench seating, a galley, and a head with updated tank and pump system. New Sunbrella cushions, hull liner, and LED lighting throughout the cabin provide comfortable accommodations. The flybridge features a new helm chair, a three-sided enclosure, drop-down panels at the bulkhead, and a saltwater washdown system. Six rod holders are mounted on the bridge.

Recent updates span the hull, electrical, and structural systems. The hull received a navy blue epoxy coat with white topsides in 2023. New side windows and glassed-over windshield improve visibility and weather protection. The electrical system was fully refreshed with four relocated batteries, new switches and cables, a new breaker panel, shore power, and charger. Deck stringers and hardware are new, and the boat carries fire suppression systems in the engine compartments, bridge, and cabin.

Electronics include a 2023 Garmin 8616 multifunction display with fishfinder and chartplotter, along with an AM/FM Bluetooth radio and speakers. The boat rides on three-blade props with a spare set aboard.
