This 1965 Pearson Triton is a 28-foot fiberglass sloop with a deep green hull and yellow boot top. Powered by a 26 hp Universal diesel engine, she cruises at 5 knots and reaches 6 knots under power. The boat draws approximately 4 feet 3 inches when loaded and has a beam of 8 feet 4 inches.
The interior features white joinery with mahogany and cane locker doors, a teak and holly cabin sole with bilge access, and a thoughtfully redesigned layout maintained in good order. The galley and accommodations reflect classic yacht styling typical of the Triton design.
Sails include a main with slab reefing, two reef points, lazy jacks, and a Roller Furling 130% genoa both in good condition. An asymmetrical spinnaker with launching and dousing sleeve is also aboard. She sails well in 15 to 20 knot winds and is described as responsive and fun to handle, with the characteristic low freeboard that keeps her close to the water.
The bottom was stripped to bare fiberglass, barrier coated, and has been painted annually with ablative bottom paint. Recent work includes replacement of the dodger vinyl. The boat is USCG documented.
