The 1965 Pearson Vanguard is a 32-foot fiberglass cruising yacht designed by Phil Rhodes. Her full keel and high displacement make her a capable performer in Bay conditions, with traditional sheer and proportions that have earned the model an enduring following among serious sailors.
The boat was repowered with a 25 hp Volvo diesel engine and cruises at around 6 knots. All sails and rigging, including lifelines, have been renewed. Standing and running rigging was replaced in 2020, and the engine received service in June 2025. Electronics include a Garmin color chartplotter and Robertson autopilot.
The interior has been substantially renewed and updated, with brightwork and soft goods refinished throughout. Sea foam green cushions complement the reddish teak interior woodwork. Exterior teak brightwork is well maintained. The boat was last hauled in 2022 and features recent exterior covers.
