1965 US Coast Guard Arctic Survey Trawler

Arctic Scout is a 39-foot fiberglass trawler built in 1965 with a double-ended lifeboat hull design. Originally constructed for survey and research work, she served with the US Navy and US Coast Guard before entering private ownership. The boat is powered by a single Caterpillar diesel engine rated at 300 horsepower, which delivers a cruising speed of 9 knots and maximum speed of 10.5 knots.

The layout includes one cabin with a single head. The hull measures 11 feet 3 inches across the beam, giving the boat a capable platform suited to the working-vessel heritage reflected in her design.

The boat received a complete refit in 2006, which addressed her systems and structure comprehensively.
