The Van De Stadt Rebel 41 is a 1965 classic sailing yacht built on the renowned designer E.G. van de Stadt's philosophy of timeless elegance and seaworthy performance. Her narrow waterline and elegant lines deliver smooth sailing across all wind angles, with particular strength on reaches and upwind work. The design includes a sheltered layout with two distinct cockpits—one for the helmsman and one for crew—plus wide gangways that enhance both safety and comfort on deck.
The interior follows a traditional arrangement suited to extended cruising. On the starboard side lies a navigation station and pilot cabin with adjacent storage space for a life raft. The port side opens to the wet room and a spacious galley equipped with running water and a gimballed stove. The saloon features classic seating with longitudinal settees on both sides and an additional pilot berth aft on the starboard side. Forward is a double V-berth with open closet space and a hanging locker for sailing gear; the bow originally had a second head, since removed, though drainage remains if reinstatement is desired.
Recent refits include new North Sails (Norlam mainsail and genoa from 2022) and a Volvo Penta D2-40 engine installed in 2019. The cockpit showcases solid teak planking with proper drainage and wide side decks. These major systems have been renewed to enable many years of carefree sailing ahead.
