1966 Boston Whaler Nauset
About This Yacht
This 1966 Boston Whaler Nauset is a 17-foot classic center console that has undergone a comprehensive restoration. The hull was dried and sealed with epoxy, then the interior was ground to fiberglass and finished with Durabek non-skid coating. The exterior received five coats of Interlux epoxy primer and five coats of Interlux Perfection finish, wet-sanded between each application for a durable surface.
The mahogany center console and reversing pilot seat are finished with ten coats of Interlux Cetol Light teak sealer. New equipment throughout includes no-feedback steering, Morse engine controls, a complete electrical panel and wiring, a Standard Horizon VHF radio, Specialty Marine stainless steel running lights, a new rubrail, and stainless steel bow and stern cleats. The fuel system includes a new 12-gallon tank and water separator filter integrated into the pilot seat, along with a low-profile bilge pump mounted in the tunnel.
Power comes from an early 1980s Yamaha 85 hp two-stroke engine that runs well and has been professionally maintained; actual hours are not documented. The boat is sold with an original Karavan bunk trailer.
