This 1966 Chris-Craft 57 Constellation is a wooden motor yacht powered by twin Detroit Diesel 8V71 engines producing 640 horsepower combined. The engines have logged under 300 hours since a major overhaul. The hull spans 57 feet in length with a 15-foot beam, offering substantial accommodations for extended cruising and live-aboard use.
The boat spent over four decades in fresh water on Minnesota lakes before relocation to Florida in 2022, during which time it received consistent seasonal maintenance and storage. The wooden hull has been substantially re-planked with carvel-planked mahogany as part of major refits conducted over the years. Records and historical surveys dating back to 1991 are aboard the yacht.
Recent service completed in 2025 includes new air conditioning units in the aft master and guest quarters, replacement of the 12-volt system battery and eight 8-volt engine batteries, new navigation lights with rewired mast, fresh water and AC water pumps, converted head system from saltwater to freshwater operation, new throttle cables at both stations, and refinishing of the pilothouse floor and hand rails. A new 75-foot 50-amp shore power cable was also installed. The yacht is equipped to draw power from shore with a proper connection system in place.
