1967 Custom 74' Long Range Luxury Yacht

This 74-foot custom motor yacht was built between 1964 and 1967 at the Kettenburg yard in San Diego to exacting standards. Designed by naval architect George W. Moore, who brought experience from post-war Royal Navy shipbuilding, the boat was engineered as a true ocean-crossing vessel capable of sustained long-range cruising. Twin 500-horsepower Cummins diesel engines power the yacht, with four thousand gallons of fuel capacity distributed across twelve tanks. The hull is constructed of fiberglass in a multi-layer design using woven roving and flame-retardant Hetron polyester resin, with flyash and micro-balloon composite filling for rigidity and strength.

The interior features teak, dark walnut, and mahogany throughout, combining durability with warmth across two cabins and one head. Above deck, the design provides comfortable outdoor entertaining and dining spaces. The engine room remains largely unchanged from original design, a testament to Moore's engineering.

Maintenance records show engine rebuilds completed in 2012 and tank cleaning in 2022. Hull upkeep over the years has been minimal, reflecting the robust construction. The diesel engines operate smoothly and quietly, suited to long passages at cruising speed.
