This is the original Fairey Huntsman 31, the first of its kind to leave the Fairey Marine yard in 1967. Designed by Alan Burnard, the Huntsman 31 gained renown for offshore racing success in the 1960s and became known for its performance, seaworthiness, and distinctive styling. The boat features a deep-V hull, timeless lines from the era, and a practical deck layout suited to both cruising and racing.
The accommodation includes a comfortable saloon, a twin berth aft cabin, and a spacious cockpit. A single head with shower completes the living spaces. The boat is powered by twin Ford diesel engines and fitted with a black water tank.
In 2022, the boat underwent comprehensive work. Both engines were removed and rebuilt. New fuel tanks, stern seals, and P brackets were installed. The electrical system was replaced throughout with new wiring, batteries, charging system, and LED navigation lights. Interior updates included new headlining in tongue and groove style, refurbished teak veneer, a new sink and hob, a new fridge, and a refurbished head with shower. The hull was repaired and painted blue, the superstructure painted white, and the teak deck was replaced with new caulking.
