The Columbia 36 is a classic sloop designed by William Crealock, built with solid fiberglass construction and engineered for coastal cruising. The hull features a fin keel and skeg-hung rudder, while the generous 10.5-foot beam creates substantial interior volume and wide side decks. A large cockpit with wheel steering accommodates day sailing and extended passages, and an inboard Yanmar diesel engine rated at 27 horsepower provides auxiliary power with a cruising speed around 7 knots.
Below deck, the layout centers on a spacious saloon with settees and dining table, forward V-berth, and an enclosed head. The deck and rig have been recently updated with new standing rigging installed in 2024, along with fresh AwlGrip mast paint. In June 2025, the non-skid deck paint was refinished with AwlGrip coating. The boat carries a mainsail and headsail with rigging and hardware arranged for straightforward handling.
A Caribe 12 tender with a 20-horsepower outboard is included with the boat.
