1972 Grand Banks 36 Classic

This 1972 Grand Banks 36 Classic is a wooden-hulled trawler built with Philippine mahogany over yacal frames. The hull design—long keel, hard chine, and deep forefoot—delivers excellent stability and handling across a range of conditions. Two Ford Lehman diesel engines producing 240 horsepower provide reliable power for extended cruising.

The deck layout reflects classic workboat thinking: high bulwarks with teak handrails, steel stanchions, and teak grab rails throughout. An anchor platform with roller, bow pulpit, and teak swim platform with transom steps are fitted forward and aft. Wide side decks and port and starboard entry doors facilitate movement and boarding. Recent work includes new canvas covers for the rail, hatches, and anchor platform, a new Bimini top, new upholstery and cushions, new mattresses, and fresh bottom paint and zincs.
