The Freeman 26 is a well-established fiberglass cruiser designed for river and canal work. This example is powered by twin Perkins 4108 diesel engines with shaft drive, delivering a top speed of 12 to 14 knots and a cruising speed of around 8 knots. At just under 26 feet long with a beam of nearly 9 feet, the boat offers practical accommodation and maneuvering capability for its size.
The layout includes a bow cabin with two V-berths and a main saloon with a port-side dinette bench. The galley on the opposite side features a two-burner gas cooker, grill, oven, 12-volt refrigerator, and a freshwater sink. The starboard side houses a head with a fold-down basin and portable toilet. Twin helm seats in the open cockpit and a central cabin door create good flow between the outdoor and indoor spaces.
Equipment aboard includes a hard top and cockpit canopy, shore power with sockets throughout, davits, a transom ladder, boat hook, clock, barometer, and a selection of ropes and fenders. The boat has been one-family owned from new and is currently stored ashore.
