This 1973 Lyman Cruisette is a 26-foot wooden classic powered by a Chrysler 360 V8 engine rated at 275 horsepower, fitted with an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor. The boat features Lyman's signature lapstrake mahogany hull construction, never fiberglassed, retaining its traditional wood build. The engine was professionally serviced by Fay's Boat Yard with new Barr Marine exhaust manifolds, exhaust elbows, impeller, spark plugs, distributor condenser, v-belt, and valve spring, and carries zero hours since service completion.
The hull was stripped to bare wood and professionally refinished with two coats of penetrating epoxy followed by two coats of hard resin copper bottom paint. The transom was professionally replaced during an earlier restoration. Documentation and extensive restoration photographs record the work from bare wood through completion.
Accommodations and equipment include a Bimini top, full mooring and transom covers, VHF radio, inverter, and refrigerator. An older Garmin GPS and cushions are aboard. The boat includes a 2004 Venture triple-axle galvanized trailer that has been professionally serviced with hub, bearing, brake, and electrical work completed. The boat has been stored indoors since restoration completion.
