1974 Bertram 28 Flybridge

A 1974 Bertram 28 Flybridge, this fiberglass offshore cruiser spans 31 feet with an 11-foot beam and runs twin Crusader gasoline engines producing 540 horsepower combined. Built as Bertram's flagship model, the design combines serious fishing capabilities with comfortable cruising. The boat features a large cockpit and swim platform suited to fishing, diving, and social use, with the flybridge accessed by cockpit ladder and outfitted with a bench seat and centerline helm station.

Below deck, the cabin sleeps four and centers on a long V-berth with overhead hatch. The galley to port includes a double sink, while to starboard sits a convertible dinette. A substantial head occupies the space between galley and dinette, efficiently planned for a boat of this size.

The engines were rebuilt in 1992 and show just over 1,200 hours. Recent work in 2024 included thermostats and impellers. In 2021, the steering helm was upgraded and the manifolds and risers were replaced. The boat receives annual service including oil changes, bottom paint, tune-ups, and zinc replacement, with routine transmission and coolant maintenance on schedule.
