This 42-foot aluminum Colvin Gazelle is a junk-rigged schooner designed by Tom Colvin and built in 1974 by Greenwich Yacht Co. in Richmond, BC. The boat features three cabins arranged for cruising comfort: a forward cabin with V-berth, closet, and head accommodating two; a main cabin with galley, chart table, removable dining table, and bookcase with two side berths for two more; and an aft cabin with two side berths sleeping two. An engine room sits beneath the main deck, with spacious main and aft deck areas for working and living.
The boat received an extensive refit from 2000 to 2001 that included new portlights, companionways, and forward hatch. In 2008 a new Yanmar 3JH4E diesel engine of 39 horsepower was installed.
