The Pearson 30 is a classic masthead sloop built on a reputation for solid fiberglass construction and dependable performance. This 1974 model measures 30 feet in length with a 9.5-foot beam, making it well-suited for Great Lakes sailing, weekend cruising, and club racing. An Atomic 4 inboard gasoline engine rated at 30 horsepower provides auxiliary power.
The cockpit features tiller steering with good visibility and includes cushions for comfort. Below deck, the layout provides a forward V-berth, a convertible settee that doubles as additional sleeping space, and a quarter berth. A private head serves the accommodations. The galley is fitted with a sink, ice box, pressure water system, and kerosene stove, while a fold-down dining table completes the main cabin.
Rigged as a masthead sloop, the boat carries jiffy reefing and multiple reef points to simplify sail handling for solo sailors or small crews. Navigation and communication electronics include a VHF radio and depth sounder.
