1976 Catalac 9 Meter

This 1976 Catalac 9 Meter is a 30-foot fiberglass catamaran rigged as a masthead sloop with twin 9.9 HP Yamaha four-stroke outboard motors. The boat features a conventional design with raked stems and modified transom stern, powered for both sailing and auxiliary propulsion. A 12-foot Whaly tender with bimini top and outboard is included.

The hull was professionally recoated in 2000 with two layers of epoxy barrier coat and was found to be in good condition with no detected blisters, impact damage, or structural issues. The molded fiberglass deck and superstructure have integral nonskid surfaces, stainless steel stanchions with safety netting, and adequate hand holds throughout. The self-bailing cockpit includes proper freeing ports and a vinyl rub rail. Below deck, the layout includes a main cabin with helm station and seating on the port side, galley access via port hull, and a berthing area with head and electrical lazarette to starboard. Interior spaces are well-lit and ventilated with good access throughout.

The sailing rig consists of an extruded aluminum mast stepped on deck in a tabernacle assembly, with 1x19 stainless steel standing rigging, roller swage terminals, and internal/external chain plates. The boat carries a mainsail, 150% Harken roller furling Genoa, and spinnaker, along with Lewmar halyard and primary winches. Dacron running rigging is in good condition.

Systems include two 12 VDC lead-acid start batteries and one Fire Fly AGM battery, dual bilge pump setup with both automatic and manual options, 25-gallon fuel tank, 25-gallon fresh water tank, and 30-gallon electric head with holding tank. Additional equipment includes five solar panels, Garmin autopilot and GPS chartplotter, VHF radio, 12 VDC anchor windlass with CQR anchor and chain rode, and full aft deck enclosure.
