This 1976 Cheoy Lee 40 is a center cockpit cruising sailboat built with a fiberglass hull. The boat was repowered in 2003 with a 60 horsepower Yammer diesel engine. Recent work includes new hull and deck paint, a new impeller installed in 2024, and an oil and filter change in 2024. The original teak decks have been removed.
The accommodation plan offers two cabins with a large captain's quarters aft and a roomy forward section with a V-berth and pullman berth. There is one head with a separate shower. The galley is well laid out with substantial storage, a three-burner propane stove with oven, a large double sink, and a microwave.
The boat carries a complete sail inventory: two mainsails, one mizzen (usable but due for replacement), two genoas, one spinnaker, and one gennaker. Most sails are in good condition. Deck equipment includes a windlass, two anchors, fenders, and dock lines. Electronics consist of a Raymarine SL7C plotter, ST6001 autopilot, Raymarine radar, and a new Raymarine VHF radio with a cockpit-mounted microphone. A Jensen stereo provides entertainment. Electrical upgrades include two new batteries installed in 2024 and new shore power. The boat comes with a steel cradle.
