The Penn Yan Avenger is a 23-foot fiberglass express cruiser built for comfortable cruising and flexible water use. Its tunnel drive design provides shallow 14-inch draft and protects the propeller, while the soft-riding hull handles well in various conditions. Power comes from a single 225-horsepower Chrysler engine.
The layout centers on practicality for extended time aboard. The lockable cabin provides shelter, with a settee that converts to a bunk for sleeping quarters. A galley supports meal preparation, and a standing head is fitted for convenience. The flybridge helm gives commanding sightlines, while the open cockpit and swim platform serve as versatile working and leisure spaces.
Recent mechanical work includes a Jasper engine rebuild, new carburetor, heat exchanger, and stuffing box. The trim tabs have been rebuilt. A modern DC management system handles electrical loads, and the prop was selected through dealership sourcing for proper fit. Window tinting, bimini tops, and protective covers for the windshield, flybridge, and cockpit have been added.
