This 1976 Reinell B-2471 is a 24-foot fiberglass sportfish that has undergone a comprehensive structural restoration. Every wooden component—transom, stringers, flooring, and bulkheads—has been replaced with marine composites: honeycomb fiberglass, Coosa Board, and low-density PVC. The result is a wood-free hull designed to eliminate rot while preserving the boat's original lines and structure. All fasteners are stainless steel throughout.
The boat is powered by a GM 454 Vortec 7.4L big-block engine installed new in 2016, paired with a rebuilt Velvet Drive transmission in a straight inboard setup with a 17 x 21 bronze prop. The engine runs on fresh water cooling and is equipped with an Edelbrock intake and marine carburetor (600 CFM, with a spare 750 CFM carb included). Fuel capacity is 118 gallons in dual tanks with vinyl ester construction and stainless pickup tubes. Engine hours are estimated under 500, based on documented weekend and offshore use.
Electronics include a Garmin EchoMap 54dv chartplotter, Furuno FCV-667 color depth finder, and Standard Horizon GX2200 VHF with AIS. The electrical system has been updated with LED lighting and modern blade-style fuse blocks, supported by dual 27M6 marine batteries. A 1975 Shoreline dual-axle trailer is included, recently refreshed with new axles, tires, hubs, and stainless hardware.
A detailed maintenance log accompanies the boat, documenting its service history and offshore capability.
