The Ta Chiao Fantasia 35 is a classic cutter-rigged double-ender sailboat designed by Bruce Bingham. Built in 1976 with a fiberglass hull, this 34.5-foot yacht is known for blue water cruising capabilities. The wooden hollow-box mast is currently down. A Yanmar 3YM-30 diesel engine (29 hp, installed in 2014) powers the boat, paired with a Kanzaki transmission and bronze propeller.
The boat carries a Pro Furl roller furling system, standing rigging with chromed bronze toggles and swaged stainless steel cable, and a wooden painted boom. Deck equipment includes an SL two-speed mechanical windlass, six stainless steel mooring cleats, and a 45-pound CQR anchor with 270 feet of high-test chain and rode.
Below deck, the yacht features a Force 10 three-burner stove with oven running on LPG, 12-volt refrigeration, and two stainless steel water tanks with manual foot pumps. The electrical system comprises a 12-volt DC setup with three flooded batteries, a Guest Pro Charge battery charger, and 125 VAC shore power connection. Navigation equipment includes a Garmin 78SC handheld GPS, West Marine handheld VHF radio, and Danforth Constellation compass. The boat has a Jabsco manual head, MSD Type III with fiberglass holding tank, and Rule-Mate and Whale bilge pumps.
The mast project is incomplete. Additional equipment aboard includes a Porta-Boat folding dinghy, two hurricane lanterns, and a Weems & Plath ship's clock.
