A 1977 Cheoy Lee Clipper 33, this classic ketch is a 33-foot fiberglass sailing yacht built in Hong Kong to a design by Alfred E. Luders. The boat sits on an encapsulated lead cruising long keel with a draft of 1.22 metres, providing the stability these timeless hulls are known for. She is powered by a 30-horsepower Yanmar diesel showing only 300 hours of run time, with a recent service completed in 2025.
The standing and running rigging has been replaced, as has the entire sail wardrobe — new Hood sails in main, mizzen, jib, and staysail were fitted approximately two years ago. The masts were removed, professionally repaired, and varnished. New Anderson self-tailing ST12 x 6 winches have been installed across the deck. An upgraded Maxwell RC anchor winch with remote control is paired with a new 10-kilogram stainless steel anchor, 10 metres of 8-millimetre chain, and 50 metres of rode. A Raymarine Axiom 9-inch chartplotter serves as the primary navigation display, supported by Garmin wind and depth instruments.
Significant electrical and systems work has been completed. All wiring has been replaced and integrated into a Czone digital switching backbone with NMEA 2000 networking, allowing control of lights, anchor winch, and other functions from the chartplotter. A new Edston steering pedestal with wheel autopilot manages steering. The toilet is new, as are navigation lights and portlight windows. Seacocks have been replaced. The teak deck was recored and epoxied. Below decks, the yacht carries 220 litres of potable water and accommodates a single head, galley with Maxi metho stove, and one sink. A dinghy is included, along with new upholstery throughout and protective boom bags with UV strips on the sails.
