This 231-foot RoPax night ferry was built in Norway in 1977 and comprehensively rebuilt in 1992. Constructed of steel and classed with DNV-GL notation, the vessel underwent dry dock in 2024. Powered by twin MAN main engines producing 2,940 kilowatts each at 778 RPM, the ferry achieves a service speed of 17 knots. Two Cat 3412 auxiliary engines provide additional power, supported by a single Cat 3306B emergency generator. Propulsion comes via twin MAN VPP four-blade propellers, and a 750-kilowatt bow thruster aids maneuvering.
The ferry accommodates up to 524 passengers across multiple spaces: 29 cabins berth 88 guests, while an additional 308 passengers can be seated in lounges, cafeteria, salon, and restaurant areas. The vehicle deck carries 62 automobiles and 258 lane meters of truck space with 4.3 meters headroom. Access is via a bow visor with watertight door and a stern folding watertight door. Fresh water capacity stands at 55 cubic meters, with ballast water tankage of 420 cubic meters and fuel storage of 217 cubic meters heavy fuel oil and 28 cubic meters marine diesel.
Safety systems include two enclosed 96-person lifeboats and twelve 35-person self-righting life rafts. The vessel is equipped with a fire alarm system, hi-fog fire protection in passenger areas, a sprinkler system on the vehicle deck, and a CO2 system in the engine room. Twin TV systems with remote monitoring cover all vehicle deck doors. A crew of up to 26 can operate the ferry.
