1977 Hatteras 37 Convertible

This 1977 Hatteras 37 Convertible is a fiberglass cruiser built to balance serious sportfishing capability with comfortable family accommodations. Powered by twin Detroit diesel engines producing 620 horsepower, the boat displaces 29,000 pounds and features a solid fiberglass hull with twin chines, a long keel, and moderate deadrise at the transom. Trim tabs are included for improved handling.

The interior spans two staterooms and one head, with galley-up layout and salon settee. Teak paneling and quality hardware throughout create a finished feel. Large wraparound cabin windows open up the salon space, while a double-entry head compartment includes a stall shower. The flybridge seats five and offers a tournament-style setup with good sightlines.

The cockpit is designed for fishing, with room for a fighting chair or, when cruising, a dining table. Additional features include a molded bow pulpit, transom door, wide side decks, and a stainless steel radar arch. A lower helm was available as an optional feature on this model.

Recent upgrades include a 5-kilowatt genset overhauled in 2023, digital tachometers, newer Icom IC-M330 VHF radio, and Standard Horizon VLH-3000A hailer system.
