This 63-foot Hatteras began as a 1977 58 Yacht Fisherman and underwent extensive structural and mechanical redesign. The rebuild prioritized functional cruising, serviceability, and livability. The aft deck was extended approximately ten feet and finished in teak, while the flybridge was repositioned forward to maintain proper proportions and visual balance. A custom circular stairway connects the aft and midship areas, providing direct access to the saloon without routing traffic through the guest cabins.
The accommodation layout was reconfigured around two queen staterooms, replacing the original midship bunk configuration with a more practical arrangement for couples and extended cruising. The yacht sleeps six across three cabins and includes two heads. The saloon and guest spaces benefit from the improved traffic flow created by the new stairway design.
Mechanical upgrades include two Detroit diesel engines with approximately 1,500 hours since major overhaul, capable of 24 knots at speed and cruising at 10 knots. The electrical system was modernized with a new power panel featuring PLC-based distribution controls and an ISO transformer. Generator sets were relocated beneath the aft deck with a dedicated adjacent fuel tank, improving maintenance access and reducing noise in living spaces. Mather electronic controls at port and starboard wing stations provide visibility for docking and maneuvering.
Comfort and systems are supported by a Kabola hydroic heating system suited for Pacific Northwest cruising. The hull was finished in Algrip by Delta Marine in Seattle. The yacht combines the established Hatteras platform with thoughtful engineering changes tailored toward practical, long-range use.
