This 1977 Islander 28 is a Robert Perry design built on a fiberglass hull, combining classic cruising appeal with practical seamanship. The boat measures 28 feet in length with a 9.83-foot beam and is powered by a single Volvo Penta MD7A diesel engine producing 13.4 hp, delivering fuel-efficient performance with a maximum speed around 6 knots. All running lines are led aft to enable single-handed sailing.

Below deck, the layout centers on a spacious cabin featuring two long settees and a fold-up dining table. Forward, a V-berth provides sleeping space for two, while a quarter berth to starboard offers additional berthing. The galley is positioned on the port side and includes a stainless steel sink, icebox, and two-burner stove. An enclosed head with a functional marine toilet completes the interior.

The fuel tank has recently failed. The engine is currently connected to a remote fuel tank; however, the engine will not maintain reliable operation on this temporary setup and will require a permanent solution.
