1977 Islander 32-Mk2

This 1977 Islander 32-Mk2 is a Robert Perry design known for balanced handling and stiff performance in stronger winds. The 32-foot fiberglass hull carries an 11-foot beam and is powered by a Beta Marine 20 hp diesel engine, delivering a cruising speed of 5 knots.

The boat received substantial recent work: a new Beta diesel engine was installed in 2023, the hull was stripped to gelcoat, barrier coated, and given fresh bottom paint in 2024, and the standing and running rigging were completely replaced that same year. The sails include a mainsail new in 2015 and a #2 Genoa from 2020, both Ullman quality.

Below deck, the open-cabin design accommodates 4–6 berths with generous storage. A functional galley offers propane cooking with stove and oven, plus refrigeration. A private head with holding tank rounds out the sleeping and sanitary facilities.

Navigation and autopilot electronics by Raymarine—including GPS, radar, and autopilot—are installed for PNW cruising.
