1977 Uniflite Valiant 40

The Uniflite Valiant 40 is a proven cruising sailboat, 40 feet in length with a 12-foot beam. Built from fiberglass, the hull reflects the age and character typical of 1977 construction. Power comes from a single 40-horsepower Westerbeke diesel engine.

The boat carries comprehensive cruising equipment and sails suited for extended passages. Recent upgrades include new rigging, solar power, and refrigeration installed in 2024. VHF and AIS systems were added the same year, along with new anchors. The 2022 refit included fresh batteries and bottom paint. Sails were replaced during 2021 and 2023.

The boat shows the natural wear expected from active use and recent cruising in Mexico. The fiberglass hull, typical of Uniflite construction from this era, has the blister susceptibility characteristic of boats from that period and builder.
