1977 Westsail Cutter

The Westsail 32 is a full-keel cruising sailboat built in fiberglass with a reputation earned over decades. At 32 feet with an 11-foot beam, this design combines traditional heavy-displacement construction with a full keel and skeg-hung rudder for seaworthiness and directional stability. A 35 horsepower Beta diesel engine with three-blade propeller provides auxiliary power.

The boat is configured for extended cruising with ample storage throughout. Interior features include a coal or wood stove, multiple solar panels, a 2200-watt inverter, and substantial volume for supplies and equipment. Sail handling is supported by a ProFurl roller furler, and an Aries windvane provides auxiliary steering. The ground tackle includes two CQR anchors.

The engine was installed in 2016. The boat carries multiple sail combinations and has cruised extensively in the Caribbean and along the U.S. East Coast.
