This 1978 custom schooner is a steel-hulled ocean cruiser built by the Italian shipyard Stain. At 73 feet long with a 19-foot beam, she combines traditional sailing design with practical cruising capability. The hull is 6mm sheet steel, and the deck is solid teak, replaced in 2014. She carries light alloy masts and boom with steel rigging suited to extended offshore passages.
The interior comprises four cabins and four heads arranged for comfortable cruising. Three main cabins and three bathrooms accommodate guests, with an additional crew cabin providing flexibility. The interior is fitted throughout in solid wood. Power comes from a single FTP diesel engine rated at 170 horsepower, installed new in 2014, giving a cruising speed of 7 knots and a maximum speed of 10 knots.
A comprehensive refit was completed in 2014–2015, which included replacement of the deck and the engine. The boat is equipped and provisioned for ocean cruising, with the systems and structure overhauled during that recent work.
