1978 Custom Ted Brewer Catboat

A classic 1978 Ted Brewer catboat design with a wooden hull, 21 feet on deck and 10 feet of beam. The boat was comprehensively rebuilt in 2010 by Maine boatbuilder Peter Kass, with a new keel, skeg, and centerboard trunk assembly, plus a new stainless steel centerboard. A new mast was installed, along with fresh rigging and new sails from Sperry in 2024.

The interior includes a V-berth forward, galley with sink to starboard, and a head with hanging closet to port. On deck, there are removable dinghy davits, a swim ladder, and a built-in cooler. A new dodger was added in 2018. Steering is via Hydrautic hydraulic system.

Power comes from a 2-cylinder Yanmar 2GM 18-horsepower diesel engine installed during the rebuild; this engine has been recently overhauled and shop rebuilt with estimated running hours under 300. New fuel and water tanks were fitted along with 100% new wiring. The boat carries a Garmin 94sv chart plotter installed in 2024. Full cockpit cushions were added in 2012. The boat has been winterized indoors and is ready for active use.
