A 1978 Moody 30 with a fiberglass hull and diesel Beta Marine engine. This classic 30-foot cruising sailboat has undergone extensive recent work, including a complete engine reconditioning in 2025 with fresh blasting and repainting. The fuel tank was removed, cleaned, pressure tested, and refinished in 2025, while the saildrive and seals were replaced the same year. The starter motor was renewed in June 2024.
The electrical system has been substantially upgraded and maintained. Twin Raymarine E7 touchscreen plotters with radar, AIS, sonar, and fish finder are installed at both the cockpit and saloon stations. New batteries were fitted in 2023, and the battery isolator was replaced in 2024. Other electrical updates include a renewed switch panel and rewiring in 2021, a new wind speed and direction indicator in 2023, and a replaced electric water pump in 2022. A battery condition monitor, AIS antenna, handheld VHF radio, entertainment radio, 240-volt television, and solar panel on a stainless steel arch complete the system. A speed log was replaced in 2024.
The sails and rigging reflect methodical maintenance: the mainsail was replaced in 2022, and both running and standing rigging were renewed in 2021. A spinnaker with lines is included. The hull was stripped and repainted with fresh antifoul in 2025, and locker interiors were repainted at the same time. Other equipment includes a serviced liferaft, deck-mounted tender, replaced manual bilge pump bellows from 2020, main saloon removable hatch cover, and dan buoy.
