1979 Albin 36 DC Trawler

The 1979 Albin 36 is a fiberglass trawler built around the principle of efficient, comfortable cruising. She measures 36 feet in length with a 13.2-foot beam and is powered by a single Ford Lehman 120-horsepower diesel engine, capable of a maximum speed of 9 knots. The design features a full-length skeg for stability, a protected walk-around deck, and a high prow typical of the classic Albin profile.

Below deck, the boat is arranged as a three-cabin layout. The master stateroom occupies the aft section and includes an offset double berth, locker storage, desk space, and a private head with a soaking tub. The salon sits amidships, appointed with teak woodwork and parquet flooring, and offers an L-shaped settee, large windows, and a lower helm station. A galley with counter space and storage completes the accommodation plan. Above deck, the flybridge provides additional seating and sightlines.

The electrical system has been recently upgraded with solar panels and four Interstate 6-volt batteries installed in 2025, supporting independent operation of lights, refrigeration, and electronics.
