This 53-foot Canoe Cove flybridge has undergone extensive modernization over several years. Twin Cummins QSC 8.3 diesel engines rated at 500 horsepower each power the yacht to a maximum speed of 22 knots, with a cruising speed of 10 knots. The boat carries a 7.5-kilowatt Cummins Onan generator and includes a 15-horsepower bow thruster for maneuverability. A Spectra 400-gallon-per-day watermaker supports extended cruising.
The fiberglass hull measures 14 feet 9 inches at the beam. Recent work includes a complete repaint of the hull and topsides, rewired 110-volt and 12-volt electrical systems, and a redesigned flybridge with custom hardtop. The transom opening has been enlarged to 7 feet with a 4-foot swim platform extension added by the builder.
Below deck, the boat contains two cabins and two heads with a full redesign throughout, including custom woodwork. The interior layout has been reconfigured from the original Canoe Cove design to suit modern cruising requirements.
