1979 Hatteras 53 Motor Yacht

This 1979 Hatteras 53 Motor Yacht is powered by twin Detroit 8V71TI diesel engines rated at 435 horsepower each, with only 2,100 hours on the engines and 1,200 hours on the Norpro Navgen generator. The fiberglass hull has seen light use and indoor winter storage for much of its history. The foredeck and bridge decks have been professionally restored to address moisture concerns typical of a yacht of this age, while the original teak flooring throughout the boat remains intact and much of the original character has been preserved.

The galley has been updated with a new dishwasher, Miele four-burner glass cooktop, microwave, full-size refrigerator, and Corian countertops. Forward of the galley is the crew quarters with two bunks, a full head, and a newer stacked washer and dryer combination.

The accommodations include three cabins and three heads. The twin cabin is on the starboard side forward, with a separate guest head and shower across the passage. The primary aft cabin spans the full beam and features a walk-around queen bed, port and starboard dressers, a large hanging closet, and a desk and beauty table. The primary cabin has its own full head with separate shower. Access to the twin engine rooms is gained through dual doors on the port and starboard sides of the aft passage.

The yacht cruises at 15 knots and reaches a maximum speed of 18 knots.
