1979 Hatteras 58 Cockpit Motor Yacht

This 1979 Hatteras 58 Cockpit Motor Yacht combines motor yacht and fishing boat design in a single 58-foot fiberglass hull. Built during one of the final years Hatteras used solid fiberglass deck construction, the hull has no history of blistering. The hull and cabin top have been repainted, and the teak handrails have been refinished in black and sealed clear. Two Detroit diesel engines producing 1,100 horsepower provide the power plant.

The interior features three cabins and three heads. The owner's stateroom includes a centerline walk-around queen bed with vanity, extensive drawer storage, and a large hanging locker. The galley has been updated with new appliances, backsplash, and countertops, along with replaced and resealed tinted portlights. Throughout the boat, the cabin has waterproof wood grain flooring, updated upholstery in leather, and upgraded countertops. The staterooms offer substantial storage, cedar-lined closets, and woodwork throughout in good condition for the age.

The spacious cockpit serves equally well for entertaining or fishing, with convenient tender boarding from anchorage or floating docks.
