This 1979 Jongert 16S is a steel ketch designed by Doug Peterson for serious offshore sailing. At 57.74 feet in length, the yacht combines classic proportions with seaworthy construction and is powered by a single 238 hp MTU diesel engine, capable of 9 knots maximum and 7.5 knots cruising speed.
The interior follows traditional Jongert design with three cabins and three heads. The aft owner's cabin includes ensuite facilities, while two guest cabins each have private bathrooms. A fully equipped galley serves the accommodation spaces.
Recent work has refreshed the boat substantially. The hull was repainted with Awlgrip in 2022, and a new teak deck was installed in 2024.
