This 1979 Morgan 462 is a fiberglass ketch built for extended cruising, with a 46-foot hull and 13.5-foot beam. The traditional ketch rig provides balanced handling across varying conditions, and the boat reaches a maximum speed of 9 knots with a cruising speed of 6 knots under a single 65-horsepower Perkins diesel engine.

The interior accommodates one cabin with one head and a galley layout designed for passage-making. The boat offers comfortable living space with good storage, supporting the demands of long-distance voyaging.

Over its four decades of operation, the boat has received continuous upgrades and maintenance. Electronics were substantially renewed in 2016 with new autopilot, radar, depth sounder, VHF radio, and Garmin chart plotter. Additional improvements include solar panels, reinforced upper shrouds with an extra forestay, a deck washer pump, and a propane leak detector. Sails and canvas have been replaced as needed throughout the boat's service life.
